In 9 days I will be flying to Miami and then driving to Key West to see my gorgeous husband!
I'm excited but I miss him so much right now. I have not spoken to my husband in 5 days and it is the longest we have gone without talking over the phone. I know that we have been fortunate up to this point because even though he has been away since November 28th, 2010 we have gotten to talk to each other most days.
To others who are married to members of the military and have gone months without getting a single word from their spouse, I am proud of y'all. This is showing me just how strong you have to be to be married to a military man (or woman for you guys that read this) and God is showing me every day just how strong He made me.... much stronger than I thought!
Even with my depression and anxiety I am doing great. It is a huge accomplishment and step forward in my life with Nick. He has been so incredibly supportive in everything that my issues have caused. I am beyond proud and thankful to call him my husband, my sailor, and my best friend.
I am looking forward to having our own place again and to get back to San Diego in mid-October. I am so excited to decorate our little home once we have one out there. To say that everything is going to be perfect would not be telling the truth but it will make me perfectly happy. When I say that everything may not be perfect I mean the fact that we will still have to pay bills, buy groceries, and all that stuff. I LOVE my life with Nick and would rather take the months apart than to not have him in my life at all.
